This retro-traditional style door knob was envisioned as part of a series of custom decorative knob and lever suite designs marketed towards discriminating clientele who appreciate precision craftsmanship and elegant detail in high-end, decorative hardware.
The design objective was to produce a classic/traditional aesthetic with historic hardware references, yet subtly infused with a modern twist. The creative process started with market research and observation of competitive products, plus viewing historic and iconic hardware from 1880’s - 1920’s for inspiration. Insight also came from viewing additional product markets such as high-end jewelry, watches, automobiles, and other LUXE products to observe modern details.
This decorative knob is produced in brass, fabricated through CNC machining and is available in various finishes.
